Due to the unprecedented effects of Covid and Brexit, we have changed the way we work at Sports FX. We have put together this information to let you know how to shop for your uniform this back to school season, and hopefully answer all your questions. COVID Safety For Customers & Staff

Although many Covid-19 restrictions have now been lifted, business has changed at Sports FX due to both the pandemic and Brexit.

As a small business the safety of our customers and staff is paramount, as such we are encouraging all customers to wear a face mask and sanitise their hands on entering the shop.

In the event of a staff member testing positive for Covid-19 we would be required by law to close for 10 days – greatly impacting our ability to ensure pupils have the items they need for the start of the new term.

Customers entering the shop will be asked to:

  • Wear A Mask
  • Sanitise Hands
Change To Opening Times - 26th July Until 6th September

Opening hours for Sports FX will be changing just for the 6 week holidays from Monday 26th July and will go back to normal on Monday 6th September.

OPENING TIMES FROM 26TH JULY

Monday – 9:00-4:30

Tuesday – 9:00-4:30

Wednesday – CLOSED

Thursday – 9:00-7:00 –Late Night For Appointments Only (If we have no appointments we will close early so make sure you book if you want to come on Thursday eveing.)

Friday – 9:00-4:30

Saturday – 9:00-4:00

Sunday – CLOSED

Appointments

The appointments system will be back in operation from Monday 26th, but this year you can book your appointments online. The booking system is now live. Go to the bottom of this page for the link. When you have booked your appointment, you will receive an email to say your booking has been requested. You will then receive a second email when it has been approved.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE GETTING YOUR UNIFORM UNTIL THE LAST FEW WEEKS OF AUGUST. Due to stock shortages at suppliers caused by Brexit and Covid, we can not guarentee that stock will be available. The schools will be kept up to date with any shortages. We will be opening late on Thursday nights for appointments only. You MUST book to come on Thursday evenings as if there are no appointments booked, the shop will be closed earlier.

Ordering Online - Click & Collect & Delivery

If you order online you will be emailed when your order is ready and you are able to come down anytime to collect ONCE WE HAVE CONTACTED YOU with NO appointment.

DO NOT COME TO THE SHOP UNTIL WE HAVE CONTACTED YOU TO SAY YOUR ORDER IS READY.

If you have selected to have your order delivered, it will be dispatched with a Royal Mail Tracked service. If you supply your email and mobile number on your order, you will receive tracking information from Royal Mail.

Items are on the website are not guaranteed to be in stock so orders may be delayed if we are waiting for stock. We will of course inform you if this is the case.

Shop Proceedure - What Happens When You Come To The Shop

Please press the bell on the door and a member of staff will come out to you ASAP. If they were serving someone they will come out as soon as they have finished.

If lots of people arrive at once, you may have to queue.

We will still be implementing HAND SANITISING and MASK rules in the shop in an attempt to protect staff and customers due to the sheer number of people who will be coming in.

Only a small amount of people will be allowed into the shop at once.

Abuse of staff will not be tolerated.

Place Your Online Orders & Book Your Appointments As Early As You Can

This year more than ever we strongly advise the ordering of school uniform as early as possible.

Due to manufacturing and supply chains issues caused by Covid-19 and Brexit, re-stock delivery time scales are currently unknown. Last minute orders placed in August run the risk of being out of stock until later in the year.

It really helps us if you can place your online orders and come to the shop before August. This means we have time to try and get more stock if we run out of certain sizes/styles.

We place the school uniform orders in November and December the year before. (Eg November 2020 for the 2021 back to school season). We order 1000’s of items for each school, but we can not predict which will be the popular sizes. So ordering early means we can make sure we can get more of the most popular sizes.

If you order/purchase early, and you are worried your child may grow between then and the start of term, we are happy to swap any unworn, tagged items, for larger sizes.

Payment Plans

If you do not get paid until the end of the month or can’t afford the uniform all in one go, please still book an appointment. You can come to the shop to choose your uniform so you get the stock reserved in the sizes you want. We require a 35% deposit on the order and it will be kept here for you so you can make payments towards it, or pay all at once on collection. Please contact us for more details.
